Understanding Playlist Playback

To organize audio and video files, VIDIZMO allows users to create playlists to enhance viewer access and experience. By using a playlist, the viewer can stream relevant content in one sitting without going through the hassle of searching subject-based content with unwanted delays.

When a user selects a playlist, the playback page is loaded. The playback page of a playlist is similar to the playback of a media with a few distinctions discussed in this article. To learn more about the playback page, see Understanding Playback Page.

Playlist Panel

The playlist panel appears on the right side of the player. It displays all the media files that are a part of the playlist being played. The viewer can view the name, index number, and duration of the content present in the playlist. Selecting any item in the playlist switches playback to that item.

Information Tab

The Information tab displays details about the playlist. This includes the Title, Description, Tags, Categories, Author name, and Custom Attributes.

Transcription Pane

The Transcription Pane appears only for media that has closed captions uploaded within the playlist. Through the transcription pane, a user can search a term, edit, or download the transcript, vary the transcript font size, and navigate to a specific time by using timed comments in transcripts.

Feedback Bar

From the Feedback Bar present on the bottom right of the playback page, you can give your feedback on the playlist. These feedback options include:

  • Like the playlist.
  • Add to Favorites.
  • Share the playlist to social channels such as Facebook, X, LinkedIn, or share via email.
  • Embed the playlist to external web pages.
  • Limited Share.
  • Download the playlist.
  • Add to Private Playlist or Private Collection.
  • Go to Studio Space to add handout, survey, or quiz.
  • Report an issue.
  • Comment on the playlist.

When content is played from a playlist, the publishing settings defined for each individual content remain applicable. For private playlists, the Like, Favorite, and Embed options are disabled.
