Creating and Managing VIDIZMO Playlists

A playlist is a collection of audio and video media files. Create multiple playlists to organize content, and when selected for playback, only files in that playlist are played.

You can manage visibility, access, and sharing settings for playlists, and apply custom attributes to improve search visibility.

Prerequisites​

Ensure you belong to a group with the Playlist feature enabled.

Create a Playlist​

  1. Select the Add Media button in the bottom-right corner.
  2. On the Add New Media tab, select Create Playlist.
  3. Enter a name for your playlist (required).
  4. Drag media files and drop them on the playlist area.
  5. To remove a file, hover over it and select the X button.
  6. Drag files to set the playback order.
  7. Select Next to continue to Settings.

Configure Playlist Settings​

Basic Settings​

  • Title - Name for your playlist
  • Category - Assign a category
  • Tags - Attach keywords
  • Description - Describe the playlist content
  • Uploader/Creator's Name - Identify the author

Publishing​

  • Player Template - Select Playlist Player Template
  • Completion Criteria - Adjust the slider to set completion percentage
  • Certificate Template - Assign a certificate (optional)
  • Other Options:
    • Allow Sharing - Enable sharing of the playlist
    • Allow Embedding - Enable embed code availability
  • Playlist Settings:
    • Enforce Order - Force sequential viewing
    • Auto Advance - Automatically play subsequent files
    • Loop - Play all files continuously (requires Auto Advance)

Access and Sharing​

Who can access it?

  • All Account and Portal Viewers
  • All Portal Viewers
  • Anonymous Viewers
  • Only Me
  • Limited Share Only

How to access it?

  • Portal Library - Display in portal library
  • Featured Media - Display on homepage banner

When will it be available?

  • Available From - Start date
  • Expires After - End date

NOTE: Playlist settings take priority over individual media settings, allowing you to share files with different settings as one package.

Custom Attributes​

Add custom attributes to improve search visibility and metadata.

  1. Select the playlist.
  2. Select Settings from the action menu or overflow menu.
  3. Go to Custom Attributes tab.
  4. Set values for custom attributes.
  5. Select Save or Save and Close.

Select Save as Draft to save and configure settings later.

View a Playlist​

  1. Open the playlist from Media Manager to view on the playback screen.
  2. Media in the playlist appears in a window to the right of the player.
  3. Use the overflow menu to Like, Embed, Share, or adjust Settings.
  4. The information tab shows details for the currently playing media.

Edit a Playlist​

Access from My Library​

  1. Select your profile icon.
  2. In the My Library section, select Uploads.

Access from Media Manager​

  1. Go to Admin > Media Manager.
  2. Select Filter By > Format > Playlist to display playlists only.

Edit the Playlist​

  1. Select the playlist to edit.
  2. Select Edit Playlist from the action menu.
  3. Add, delete, or reorder content.
  4. Select Next to access Settings and make changes.
  5. Select Save and Close to finish editing.

Create a Playlist as a Viewer​

  1. Select the desired media.
  2. From the overflow menu, select Add to My Playlist.
  3. Enter a title for the playlist and select Add.
  4. To remove media, uncheck the playlist option in the modal.
