How to Share Media on Social Media Platforms

VIDIZMO allows users to share portal content on social media platforms or via email. Portal Managers can configure and control sharing options for media content.

Prerequisites​

  • Media Sharing must be enabled in your portal. See How to Configure Social Media Sharing in Portal.
  • You must belong to a group with the Media Sharing feature enabled.
  • Anonymous access must be enabled in the portal security policy.
  • The media must have Allow Sharing enabled in Media Settings.

Enable Sharing for Media​

Before users can share media, configure the portal and media settings.

Enable Anonymous Access in Portal​

To allow external users to view shared content:

  1. In the left navigation panel, expand Admin and select Portal Settings.
  2. In the Portal Settings navigation, expand Security.
  3. Select Security Policy.
  4. Under Portal Access Type, select the Allow Anonymous Access checkbox.
  5. Select Submit.

Enabling anonymous access makes the Allow Sharing option available in Media Settings.

Enable Sharing on Media​

You can enable sharing when uploading media or for existing media in Media Manager.

When uploading media:

  1. Upload your media file.
  2. In Media Settings, select the Publish tab.
  3. Select the Allow Sharing checkbox.
  4. Select Save or Save and Close.

For existing media:

  1. In Media Manager, locate the media file.
  2. Select the overflow menu (⋮) and select Settings.
  3. Select the Publish tab.
  4. Select the Allow Sharing checkbox.
  5. Select Save or Save and Close.

Share from Homepage or Media Library​

  1. Navigate to the Homepage or Media Library.
  2. Locate the media you want to share.
  3. Select the overflow menu (⋮) on the media thumbnail.
  4. Select Share.

The Share dialog opens.

  1. To share via email:

    • Enter recipient email addresses in the Email Address field. Separate multiple addresses with commas.
    • Select Refer to send the email through VIDIZMO.
    • Alternatively, select the Mail icon to open your default email application.

  2. To share on social media, select the platform icon:

    • Facebook
    • LinkedIn
    • X (Twitter)

Share from Playback Page​

  1. Navigate to the media and select it to open the Playback Page.
  2. Select the Share icon in the action bar.

The Share dialog opens with the same options for email and social media sharing.

Interactive Social Media Sharing​

When enabled, shared links display as interactive thumbnails on social media platforms, showing the media's thumbnail image, title, and description.
