View and Export Redaction Activity Reports

The Redaction Activity Report provides a centralized view of all detections and redactions applied to a content file. Opening it takes you to the interactive Redaction Reports asset-detail page for that file, where you can review each detection and redaction, sort and filter the list, and export it. You can open this report from the Redaction Report option in the overflow menu of the redacted file.

Note: Starting from version 12.1.362, the Redaction Report menu opens this interactive report and redaction no longer generates the legacy CSV report. Files redacted before 12.1.362 have no detailed detection records, so they open the previous CSV-based report view instead — re-redacting such a file moves it to this interactive report.

Purpose of the Report

The Redaction Activity Report helps users track, review, and document all detections and redactions applied to a specific content file. Each report captures activity for an individual file and does not include activity on copies of that file. Users can export this report for record keeping or compliance purposes.

Data Fields in the Report

The occurrence list shows the following fields:

  • Time: The start–end timestamps of the occurrence in the media timeline (millisecond precision). Shown for video and audio.
  • Page: The page number of the occurrence. Shown for documents.
  • Type: The category of the detection/redaction, such as License Plate, Face, Person, or a PII type.
  • Detection Method: How the item was identified (for example, AI model, NER, Regex, or Manual).
  • Confidence: The detection confidence score.
  • Status: Whether the item is Detected or Redacted.
  • Date: The date the occurrence was recorded.
  • Added By: The user associated with the occurrence.
  • Redaction Codes: The redaction code name(s) applied to a redaction (blank for detections that were not redacted).
  • Object ID: The identifier that groups the same object across the file.

The fields displayed vary by content type: images show neither Time nor Page; documents show Page instead of Time.

Sort and Filter

  • Click a column header — Time/Page, Detection Method, Confidence, or Status — to sort by that column; click again to reverse the direction.
  • Use the filters at the top of the page to narrow the list by category, detection method, and count mode.
