Version 11.1.333
17 June 2025
This latest release includes new features, a bug‑squashing spree, and performance refinements — all in perfect sync to supercharge your VIDIZMO experience!
What’s New
-
Introducing Redaction Codes: Redaction just got smarter! Redaction codes act as identifiers for your redacted content, making it easier to track and manage redactions. Customize these codes to make your redactions more meaningful, ensuring compliance with standards like FOIA. For more details, check out the documentation: Understanding Redaction Codes in VIDIZMO
-
Summarization (Now with Visuals!): Summarization has received a major upgrade. The VIDIZMO Indexer (formerly the VIDIZMO Speech and Text Analyzer) now includes visual context, allowing us to summarize based not only on transcription text but also on video frames - if your video has no dialogue, no problem. You can even enhance summary accuracy by facotring in both visuals and audio together. Learn more here: Understanding Summarization in VIDIZMO
-
Automatic Redaction with VIDIZMO Vision Indexer: Tired of manual redaction? Now, you can automatically redact detected objects in your content using VIDIZMO Vision Indexer. If you are a user with redaction permissions, you can configure automatic redaction settings for both visual and document related insights. To see how it works. Check out the details here. -
Redaction of OCR Objects in Studio Space: Studio Space now supports OCR-based redaction for text or characters detected in images and videos. No more manual searching for text in videos—our OCR system will do it for you, ensuring seamless content security. For details, check the updated section on Redaction of OCR Objects in How to Perform OCR using VIDIZMO Vision Indexer
-
PII Redaction via OCR: Protecting personal information just became easier. In addition to traditional transcription-based PII detection, VIDIZMO now uses OCR to detect PII in both editable and non-editable documents, as well as in video frames. Choose your PII targets, let VIDIZMO OCR the content, and redact it all from Studio Space. Check the OCR-based PII Detection section in OCR-based PII Detection section in Understanding PII Detection and Redaction uusing VIDIZMO Indexer
-
Seamless Plan Upgrade: No more navigating external websites to upgrade your plan. You can now upgrade directly from the VIDIZMO portal, making the transition from trial to paid plans seamless and hassle-free.
Enhancements
- Smarter Duplicate File Detection: We’ve all uploaded the same file twice (whoops). But now, VIDIZMO’s got your back! We now detect duplicate file uploads more accurately by checking both file title and extension. If a duplicate is found, you’ll be prompted to either keep it as a new copy or discard it. It’s an added layer of protection against clutter in your file repository.
Bugs
-
Dates were out of sync between Certificates and User Analytics, but we’ve fixed this sneaky little bug, and everything’s perfectly synced up now!
-
Our system got a bit confused between
mp4
andMP4
- throwing a tantrum and causing transcription to fail with an 'unsupported' error. All sorted now—MP4s are back on track! -
Fixed an issue where embedded media files weren't loading on third-party websites when the SSO parameter was disabled in Azure AD. Now everything plays nice.
-
Turns out, viewers were able to edit transcriptions in the All-Users group. We’ve locked that down and now they can only view, not edit.
-
Bug squashed!
.mov
files in playlists that were giving iPhones trouble are now playing back smoothly. -
Analytics are back in action! The report dashboard is now updating user stats like a charm—no more missing stats!
-
Search results were a bit off track—we’ve fixed it! Now they’re spot on and ready to find exactly what you need!
-
Bug be gone! The issue with detection and redaction on that media file is all fixed up and ready to roll!
-
The AI service for transcription took a little nap and crashed, throwing some error logs. But it's all fixed now and back up, transcribing like a pro.
-
Turns out, when Vision Indexer and Audio Indexer teamed up, the 'Auto Detect' option decided to play hide and seek in Studio Space. We've found it and brought it back.
-
Some detection types that aren’t part of the plan sneaked into Content Processing Apps like uninvited guests. We've fix that, and now only the right ones are showing up.
-
Emails with special characters were causing issues when users tried the "Forget Password" option. This bug has been squashed! Password reset emails now send without issues.
-
Active portal users whose analytics were missing were not showing up on the Reports Dashboard. But no worries, we’ve tweaked it so you can now search for any user, regardless of their analytics status.
-
Users experienced issues with
.mov
files not indexing properly. Behind-the-scenes improvements have been made to ensure.mov
files are now processed smoothly -
The default purge policy was acting like it was on vacation and not purging content as it should. We’ve given it a nudge, and it’s back at work now—purging content like it’s supposed to.
-
Custom patterns were being forgetful and didn’t want to stay. We’ve now fixed that, and your custom patterns will stick around for as long as you need them. Additionally, users can now add as many custom patterns as needed without issues.
-
We had a little hiccup with face attribute detection on some images, but no worries—it's all fixed, and now it'll work fine on all supported images.
-
OCR search was a bit... uncooperative on certain documents. We’ve given it a talking-to, and now OCR search works like it’s supposed to.
-
Users experienced issues with saving their preferred language when multiple languages were transcribed. But that’s been fixed, and now you can save your chosen language without it trying to override your choice. You’re the boss, after all
