How to Define Default Publishing Rules for Uploaded Media

VIDIZMO Managers can pre-define publishing rules for content. These rules are behavioral settings applied to content uploaded to VIDIZMO. You can apply these rules to new uploads or existing published media. Managers can set default publishing rules such as allowing access from Portal Library, enabling content downloading, embedding, and more.

The default publishing rules also include View Settings which allows Portal Managers to show a particular selection of published and custom attributes sorted in order. VIDIZMO has pre-defined publishing rules for all media types, but you can customize the publishing rules for each media type.

Configure Default Publish Settings

  1. Select the navigation menu.
  2. Expand Admin.
  3. Select Portal Settings.
  4. Expand Library.
  5. Select Default Publish Settings.
  6. Hover over a media type and select the Edit icon.
  7. Configure the default publish settings as needed.
  8. Select Apply these settings on already published media to update existing media files (optional).
  9. Select Save Changes.

NOTE: If you do not select Apply these settings on already published media, the changes only apply to new content uploaded of that media type.

Default Publish Settings Options

The following options are available for each media type (Video, Audio, Document, etc.):

  • All - Enables all publish settings below
