How to Feature a Category

Featuring a category displays it prominently on the Portal Homepage or Category page, giving users quick access to important content. This is useful for showcasing popular categories or promoting new content.

Prerequisites

  • Users must have Portal Management permissions via security group or CAL.
  • Drafted categories cannot be marked as featured.
  1. Select the navigation menu.
  2. Expand Admin.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Expand Home Page.
  5. Select Featured Category.
  6. Use the search bar to locate the category you want to feature.
  7. Select the category from the search results to add it to the featured list.

Control Sub-Category Visibility

  1. On the Featured Categories page, hover over a sub-category and select the gear icon.
  2. In the Visibility Control dialog:
    • Select Display on Account Homepage to show the sub-category on the Homepage.
    • Select Display on Parent Category Homepage to show it on the parent category's page.
  3. Select Save Changes.
  1. On the Featured Categories page, drag and drop categories to reorder them.
  2. Select Update.

The categories display on the Homepage in the order you set.

  1. Select the categories you want to remove from the featured list.
  2. Select Remove.
