How to Configure Your Portal to Use HTTPS Only

HTTPS (Hyper Text Transfer Protocol Secure) is the secure version of HTTP that encrypts data exchanged between your browser and VIDIZMO. The Always Use HTTPS option ensures all portal communications use a secure connection.

For SaaS deployments using subdomain or directory options, HTTPS is supported out of the box. For on-premise deployments, an SSL certificate must be enabled on your IIS web server before configuring HTTPS.

For more details about domain options, see Understanding Domain Options for a Portal.

Enable HTTPS Only

  1. Select the menu icon in the top left corner to open the navigation pane.
  2. Expand the Admin section.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Go to Branding > Domains.
  5. Enable the Always Use HTTPS checkbox.
  6. Select Update.

When HTTPS is enabled, all on-demand content is served over HTTPS.

NOTE: Always Use HTTPS only works if SSL is enabled on your domain. If SSL is not configured, an error message appears.
