How to Allow Comments and Comment Moderation for a Media

VIDIZMO allows comments and comment moderation to be configured at two levels: portal-wide settings and individual media settings.

Prerequisites

  • Belong to a group with Allow Commenting and Comment Settings permission to configure portal-level settings.
  • Users without this permission can only configure comment settings on individual media files they own.

Comment Options

The following comment options are available at both portal and media levels:

Configure Comments at Portal Level

Portal-level settings become the default for all newly uploaded media.

  1. In VIDIZMO, go to Admin > Portal Settings.
  2. Select Library > Comments.
  3. Configure the comment options as needed.
  4. Select Update.

Configure Comments for Individual Media

Users can override portal defaults for specific media files.

  1. In VIDIZMO, go to Admin > Media Manager.
  2. Select the overflow menu on the media file.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Select the Publish tab.
  5. Configure the comment options as needed.
  6. Select Save and Close.

NOTE: These settings can be configured during initial upload or modified later through Media Settings.
