How to View Media Analytics
VIDIZMO Analytics provides detailed metrics for each media uploaded on the platform, including views, viewers, impressions, completions, likes, comments, device and browser usage, access locations, and embed statistics. Users can monitor content quality for each media and compare performance across different media. For more details, see Understanding Media Analytics.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, ensure you:
- Belong to a group with Content Analytics permission enabled
View Media Analytics
- In VIDIZMO, go to Admin > Media Manager.
- Select the Published tab.
- Select the media to view its analytics.
- Select Analytics from the action bar.
The Media Analytics screen displays the following metrics:
Analytics Panels
Views and Viewers
Displays the total number of times the media was viewed and the count of individual unique viewers who watched the media.
Impressions and Completions
- Impressions - Number of times the media playback screen was loaded (player initialized)
- Completions - Number of times the media was viewed completely by any viewer
Likes and Comments
Shows the total number of likes and comments received on the media.
Engagement Trends
Displays overall impressions, views, and completions over time as a line graph.
- Graph view - Hover on graph nodes to view specific values at each data point
- Table view - Displays the same data in tabular format with sortable columns (ascending/descending)
Both views support CSV export using the Download icon for analysis in Excel.
Top Devices
Breakdown of viewers by device type (desktop, mobile, tablet) used to access VIDIZMO and view the media. Shows impressions, views, completions, and time played per device category.
Top Browsers
Breakdown of viewers by web browser, displaying:
- Impressions per browser
- Views per browser
- Completions per browser
- Total time played per browser
Embeds
Lists all external sites where the media embed code was used:
- Site URL - The domain where the embed code is placed
- View count - Number of views from each embedded location
- Last playback - Timestamp of when the media was last played from that site
Demographics
Location-based analytics showing views, viewers, impressions, and completions. Filter data by:
- Country - Aggregate data by country
- City - Drill down to city-level data
- Location - Specific geographic locations
Data can be toggled between graphical and tabular views.
Geographical Heat Map
Visual world map showing viewing distribution by geographic region. The map is automatically populated based on viewer locations:
- Darker shading indicates higher view counts
- Hover to view detailed statistics for each region
- Toggle to tabular view for exact counts of views and viewers per location
Video Heat Map
Displays video engagement by segment, showing which parts of the video are most watched:
- Video timeline divided into 30-second segments
- Shading intensity indicates view count (lighter = fewer views, darker = more views)
- Most viewed segments appear in the darkest shade
- Table view breaks down into 5-second segments with:
- Start and End timestamps for each segment
- View count per segment (sortable ascending/descending)
View Options
All analytics panels support two display modes:
- Graph view - Select the pie chart icon to display data visually
- Table view - Select the menu icon to display data in tabular format
To export data, select the Download icon to save as CSV for viewing in Excel.
