How to View and Export Media Activity Logs

Media Activity Logs track all actions performed on media content, including who accessed it, when changes were made, and what modifications occurred. This audit trail helps organizations monitor unauthorized access and maintain compliance. For more details, see Understanding Media Activity Logs.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure you:

  • Belong to a group with Activity Logs permission enabled

View Media Activity Logs

  1. In VIDIZMO, go to Admin > Media Manager.
  2. Select the Published tab.
  3. Select the overflow menu (⋮) on the media file.
  4. Select Activity Log.

The Activity Log screen displays all actions performed on that media with the following columns:

  • User - Name of the user who performed the action
  • IP Address - IP address from which the action was performed
  • Date and Time - Timestamp of when the action occurred
  • Event - Type of action performed (e.g., ContentAdd, ContentUpdate, MashupViewed)
  • Details - Description of the specific changes made

To sort the log, select the column header arrow for Date & Time.

Toggle Between View Modes

VIDIZMO provides two view modes for Activity Logs:

  • Detailed View (default) - Displays full event details with changes segregated by event
  • Compact View - Shows a condensed breakdown of changes per event

To switch views, select the Compact View button located to the left of the Download button.

Export Activity Logs

  1. In the Activity Log screen, select Download in the top-right corner.
  2. Select the export format:
    • PDF - Formatted report for stakeholders
    • CSV - For data analysis and further processing

NOTE: The maximum number of records that can be exported is 2500 per page.
