Configuring VIDIZMO Indexer for Translations

The VIDIZMO Indexer translates content from your audio, video, document, and image files. It detects the source language and generates translations in your selected target language.

Prerequisites​

  • Ensure you belong to a group where App Management and the required translation features are enabled:
    • Translation for audio and video files
    • Document Translation for document files
    • Image Translation for image files
  1. In VIDIZMO, select the menu icon in the top-left corner to open the navigation pane.
  2. Expand the Admin section and select Portal Settings.
  3. Go to Apps > Content Processing.
  4. Select the settings icon on the VIDIZMO Indexer app.

Configure Translation​

  1. Media Formats Select the media format(s) you want to generate translations for. Choose Audio, Video, Document, or Image based on your content type. The available translation insights depend on the selected format(s). In a DEMS Portal, this field appears as Evidence Formats.

  2. Insights From the dropdown, select the translation type based on your selected format:

    • Audio Translation Translates transcripts from audio files and videos with spoken audio. Available when Audio or Video is selected.
    • Document Translation Translates text detected in documents using OCR. Available when Document is selected.
    • Image Translation Translates text detected in images using OCR. Available when Image is selected.

    You can also add other AI insights in this field to apply them alongside translation.

Audio and Video Translation Language​

  1. Translation Language(s) Select the target language for the translation. English is the default and delivers the most accurate results. Other languages are available; however, translation quality and coverage may vary.

Document and Image Translation Language​

  1. Document/Image Translation Language(s) Select the target language for the translation. Document and image translation are available in a limited set of supported languages.

NOTE: Document and Image translation share the same target language configuration. The available languages for document and image translation are a smaller subset compared to audio and video translation.

Save and Enable​

  1. Automatic Processing Select On to automatically process uploaded content for translation, or Off to require on-demand processing.

  2. Select Save Changes to apply your settings.

  3. Turn on the toggle for the VIDIZMO Indexer app to enable processing.
