Configuring VIDIZMO Indexer for Chaptering

Chapters help viewers navigate content by allowing them to find specific information without seeking through the video manually. In VIDIZMO, you can generate chapters for audio and video content using the VIDIZMO Indexer app.

You can configure the application to create chapters by adding 'Chaptering' as a processable AI insight. The application supports automatic chaptering of content uploaded to your portal, and on-demand generation of chapters for content that is already present.

The Chaptering AI Insight is based on transcriptions, so your audio and video content must be transcribed. If no transcriptions are found, the VIDIZMO Indexer automatically generates them when processing your content for the 'Chaptering' insight.

NOTE: In DEMS, 'Chapters' are called 'Topics.' They function the same way as Chapters. This article uses an EVCM Portal, so the terms 'Chaptering' or 'Chapters' are used.

Prerequisites​

  1. You belong to a group where the App Management feature is enabled to manage content processing apps.
  2. You belong to a group with Automatic Chapters & Summarization feature permissions enabled.
  1. In VIDIZMO, select the menu icon in the top-left corner to open the navigation pane.
  2. Expand the Admin section and select Portal Settings.
  3. Go to Apps > Content Processing.
  4. Select the settings icon on the VIDIZMO Indexer app.

Configure Chaptering​

  1. Media Formats Select the formats you want to perform chaptering on. Select Audio for sound-only files and Video for files that include both sound and visuals. In a DEMS Portal, this field appears as Evidence Formats.
  2. Insights From the dropdown, enable Chaptering as an AI Insight. You can also add additional AI Insights to generate them alongside chapter generation.
  3. Automatic Processing Select On to automatically process uploaded content for the selected AI Insights, or Off to require manual processing.
  4. Select Save Changes.
  5. Turn on the toggle for the VIDIZMO Indexer app to enable processing.
