How to Restore an Evidence from Disposal

VIDIZMO DEM allows investigative officers to restore deleted evidence from the Recycle Bin within a specific retention period. This helps maintain evidence integrity when items are mistakenly deleted.

Prerequisites

  • Belong to a group with Upload and management content feature enabled, or have a CAL that grants this permission.
  • Evidence must exist in the Recycle Bin to be restored.

Restore Single Evidence

  1. In your DEM portal, go to the Recycle Bin.
  2. Locate the evidence you want to restore.
  3. Select the overflow menu (three dots) on the evidence.
  4. Select Restore.

The evidence is restored to its original location.

Restore Evidence in Bulk

  1. In your DEM portal, go to the Recycle Bin.
  2. Select multiple evidence items using the checkboxes.
  3. Select Restore from the command bar.

The selected evidence items are restored to their original locations.

Note: Evidence that was inside a case is restored to the default folder and appears on the Homepage, not back into the original case.
