How to Edit Resources Using Language Editor

VIDIZMO allows users to centrally edit resource keys i.e. confirmation messages, alert notifications and other user prompts in all available languages within the application using Language Editor. This helps customer organizations incorporate their jargon and terminologies in the application language allowing end-users to familiarize with the system more conveniently.

The language editing feature in the application is only offered in a solution deployed on premise.

Prerequisite​

Before you begin, verify that you are part of a group with the feature permission "Configuration Hub" enabled to edit language resources within the application for main Account and all sub portals.

Access Control Panel​

  1. Select the navigation menu on the top left of your screen.
  2. Expand the Admin tab.
  3. Select Control Panel.

Edit Language Resources​

Users are allowed to filter, view, search and edit resources in a Language Editor.

  1. Select Language Editor.
  2. Select the filter icon on the top left of your screen.
  3. From Language, select any of the available options using the dropdown list to edit its resources. The options include English, French, Spanish, Arabic. Selecting any one of them displays values in that specific language. By default, all values are displayed in English – United States.
  4. Hover over any key record to see the edit icon appear under Action. Select it to enable text editor against the value of that resource under the selected language.
  5. Update the value of the resource key as per your choice.
  6. Select tick/cross to save/discard your changes.

A notification appears stating: Language Resources Updated Successfully.

Filter and Search Resources​

  1. You can filter your search by Modules. All resources are classified into their respective modules, which help users effectively gauge where a resource belongs in the application and what impact it has.
  2. Additionally, you can search resources on the basis of Key/Value.
  3. After selecting, type in your query beside the dropdown to obtain required results.
