Viewing and Setting Default CALs in Portal
Client Access Licenses (CALs) in VIDIZMO determine the access rights and permissions for users within the portal. All feature permissions associated with CALs are displayed on the CALs portal screen.
The default CAL is automatically assigned to new users added through user and group management.
Prerequisites
- Ensure you belong to a group with User Management permission enabled, or are a member of the User Manager group.
View CALs in Portal
- Open the navigation pane using the top-left button.
- Select Admin > Control Panel.
- In the navigation pane, select User's CALs.
- Select any CAL from the list to view its feature permissions.
The feature permissions display shows:
- Features the user can interact with in the portal
- Actions that can be performed within each feature
NOTE: The CAL name may vary depending on your purchased product plan.
If a user requires access to additional features, they must obtain a CAL that includes the necessary permissions from the VIDIZMO website.
Set Default CAL
- Navigate to User's CALs in Control Panel.
- Select the desired CAL.
- Select Set as Default.
A notification confirms the default CAL has been set.
Configure Notification Settings
- Navigate to the desired CAL.
- Select the Bell Icon.
- Toggle the switch ON for specific events, or use Enable All to activate all notifications.
- Select Update to save.
